Keep Your Fruits and Vegetables Fresh With #BluApple and Giveaway ends 11/7

I don’t know about you, but I buy produce thinking I am going to eat it right away and then it spoils before I can eat it! I must not be the only one because I read that most households throw away over $600 in produce every year! I hate having to throw out food, especially yummy fruits so I was very excited to try the BluApple.

BluApple

Right now, I have a BluApple in my crisper drawer in my fridge where my fruit is so it can soak up all the ethylene gas they give off. That’s how the BluApple works. Produce gives off ethylene gas which causes them to ripen faster. The BluApple absorbs that gas so you’re produce stays good longer.

BluApple

The BluApple is really easy to use. You just place it with your produce. That’s it! Then in 3 months, just replace the packet inside your BluApple. Sometimes it will last longer than 3 months. Also, if aren’t using your BluApple, you should keep it wrapped up in something like the original package so it will last longer.

The BluApple has a great price too! You get a 2 pack for $9.95 and you can get a 12 month refill kit for only $9.95. They also have a money back guarantee if you are not happy with your BluApple.

  3. rebeka deleon says:

yeah we do ALOT. we buy so much fresh produce and some of it goes bad in less than a week.

  4. Sometimes we do. Ours is usually the citrus that doesn’t get eaten.

  5. jamie braun says:

We toss out produce pretty often..especially grapes. My little one loves her fruits, but they go bad so quickly

  6. Kathy Artis says:

Yes i do throw away vegetables about once a month that are no longer fresh..feels like throwing away $$

  7. Danielle Porter says:

Unfortunately yes. mostly things that come in a bag, like grapes or cherries.

  8. Michelle Warren says:

I throw out produce and fresh vegetables due to over ripening on a almost weekly basis. I really have not calculated the amount or the quantity but throwing out food is equivalent to throwing money straight into the garbage. I have also tried a number of ways to reduce this and have not been successful. Thank you for the chance to win this money saving item.

  9. TRACY philips says:

I am throwing away maybe 1/4 of what i buy from not getting to it quick enough

  10. we have to throw away about 1/4 of what we buy.. especially bananas.

  11. The best answer I can give to this question is TOO much!! I can literally hear my bank account crying as I’m throwing produce away in the trash. It’s constant. Especially bananas and apples. My little princess LOVES fruit, but we can’t seem to go through it quick enough. We try to buy our bananas green to give them extra time to ripen, but it still doesn’t seem to be enough. :( Would LOVE to try a BluApple. What a money saver this would be!! :)

  12. Too often…bananas go in the freezer for banana bread everything is a waste

  13. too much money i waste on fruits and vegetables and they go bad

  14. Great op to try something new! Yes – even staying at home with kid & working from home – life is so crazy busy – it’s hard not to mess each & every piece of produce.

  15. danielle august says:

I am not sure of the total cost but I seem to toss apples, carrots, clementines, etc weekly. I am sure the cost is staggering.

  16. Danielle P says:

I go through our fridge once a week and use the old adage “When in doubt throw it out!” We don’t throw away too many fruits and veggies. I try not to buy more than we use or I’ll cook things up and freeze them too.

  17. Sarah Cannon Williams says:

Banana’s, Strawberries and Grapes get thrown
out every week to week and half.
I have never calculated the cost but any loss
    of money is not good.
Can they be used for fruits and veggies on the counter?

    • Yes they can Sarah. BluApple works best in a closed area with your fruits and veggies but you can also put it with your fruits and veggies on the counter.

  18. Yes, I toss out produce (usually lettuce and strawberries) at least once a week.

  19. Samantha Meyer says:

bananas are a problem in our house. We buy more than we eat, but the good news is, we can make banana bread!

  20. Cynthia C says:

I try to use all the fruit before it goes bad, but I have thrown out bananas on occasion.
